Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WordNote ("Service"), operated by WordNote ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use WordNote. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your account
You sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your Google account secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at sonha2002.12@gmail.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the platform.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service at scale
- Interfere with or disrupt the servers or networks supporting the Service
- Use automated tools to create accounts or submit vocabulary at a volume that degrades the Service for others
- Share your account credentials with others
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the words, phrases, and context you save ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you — for example, to generate AI explanations and schedule your spaced-repetition reviews.
You are responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
5. AI-generated explanations
Word explanations are generated by AI and are provided for educational purposes only. They may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely solely on AI explanations for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
6. The browser extension
The WordNote Chrome extension is a separate client that connects to the same account. These Terms apply equally to your use of the extension. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and store content from the webpages you save from.
7. Availability and changes
We provide the Service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
8. Free tier and future pricing
WordNote is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will notify existing users in advance and you will not be charged without your explicit consent.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WordNote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vietnam.
